Fine Pet Portraits - an artist's blog

My name is Sandra Palme, I am a professional pet portrait artist based in the UK. I draw your dog, cat horse or any other pet in pastels, charcoal, coloured pencils or graphite. It is my goal to capture the pet's personality and essence as well as their looks. I know how much your pet means to you as I feel the same about mine! New horse portrait started

As mentioned in my last post, I have now started a new horse portrait just for me. The drawing will be of a beautiful bay P.R.E. stallion and he'll be drawn in coloured pencils. I haven't used CPs in a while so it's a welcome change and very relaxing.

Still busy!

I'm still not able to show any work at this stage but I thought I'd let you know that I'm ok and still busy working on loads of Christmas commissions. I'm currently drawing a Trakehner horse, a Jack Russell Terrier and a German Shepherd - all in pastels. I was wondering whether to start a little 'me project' though that I could spend a few minutes on every day. I find it relaxing to work on a fun piece. So if I do start one, I'll be sure to show you WIP scans! ;o)
