Chesapeake Bay Retriever info:

The Chesapeake Bay Retriever is a sporting / hunting dog. 'Chessies' are intelligent, happy, energetic and protective dogs. They need to be trained and socialized to avoid dominance issues as they tend to be assertive and territorial. Chesapeake Bay Retrievers love to learn and are very loyal towards 'their' human(s)..

You can order a Labrador; ask a Golden; but you must negotiate with a Chesapeake.

Distinctive features include clear eyes of yellowish or amber colour and webbed toes and a water-resistant coat. 'Chessies' are excellent swimmers.
