English Springer Spaniel information:

The English Springer Spaniel is a gun dog breed. Working and show dog lines have different appearances. Males in show dog lines are about 18–20 inches (45–51 cm) at the withers and weigh between 50 and 55 pounds (23–25 kg). According to the UK (FCI) Breed Standard, the Springer should be 20 inches (51 cm) at the withers. Females should be 17–19 inches (43–48 cm) and weigh about 35–45 pounds (16–20 kg). Working type Springer Spaniels can be lighter in weight and finer in bone.

The coat comes in three different colour combinations: black/white, liver/ white and either combination can have tan above the eyes or muzzle.

English Springer Spaniels and Cocker Spaniels were not recognised as separate breeds until the 1800s.

Springers are intelligent, affectionate, happy and energetic dogs.
