Weimaraner dog information:

Weimaraners were developed in Germany for hunting in the 19th century and are still used as gun dogs. Weimaraners are loyal, loving and protective dogs. They make good family pets but they are intelligent hunting dogs that need appropriate training and lots of exercise.

Weimaraners are very elegant-looking dogs. Their eyes may be light amber, grey, or blue-grey. Weimaraners are very athletic, muscular and strong. Their coat is grey - short and smooth (there is a long-haired variety with a long tail though).

Male Weimaraners stand between 25 and 27 inches (63-68 cm) at the withers, females between 23 and 25 inches (58-63 cm). The breed is not heavy with males normally weighing about 70-85 pounds, females between 55-70 lbs(25-32kgs).
