As a pet and wildlife artist who mainly works from reference photos, I started taking my own photos for non-commissioned artwork a couple of years ago. I thoroughly enjoy visits to nature reserves, wildlife parks etc. and am now really into animal and wildlife photography - and bird photography in particular.

I have recently upgraded to to a really good digital SLR camera (a Canon EOS 7 D). The lenses I use are a Canon EF 70-300mm f4-5.6 IS USM, a Canon 100-400L USM and a Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM macro lens.
