With fewer than 80 breeding pairs, the Black Redstart is quite a
rare bird in the UK.
So it was a fantastic experience to meet this beautiful female (or first
winter bird) wintering on the South Coast of
England. In fact there were two of them but this one was a little poser and
very confiding. Brilliant!
