The Corn Bunting used to be a familiar sight on farmland, its jangling
song a familiar sound. Sadly, it has declined dramatically and is now a red
list species due to changes in farming methods that resulted in loss of
habitat and food shortage. Organisations like the RSPB are trying to work
with farmers in many areas which will hopefully help this beautiful little
bunting to recover.
