In October 2011, I finally saw my first ever crossbills on Ashdown
Forest, first flying over and then later I was able to
watch a
small flock feeding. I saw more crossbills... twice in the same week (after trying
for over a year to see them at that location...like buses!). Brilliant and
absolutely
fascinating birds. Can't wait to see them again!
I also managed to get a few nice crossbill shots.
