The Goldcrest is the smallest European bird at only 8.5–9.5 cm
(3.3–3.7 in) in length. These tiny birds are constantly
on the move in search of insects. Lovely birds and quite bold, considering
how small they are. One goldcrest nearly landed
on my partner's head once!
